Meanwhile....

I know there hasn't been much updating here, but work on this has moved on in the framework of the Red Hammer Studios.

BMD-2 Pack was released a while ago for Arma 2: Combined Operations.

This one was completely scratch made, and made very little use of the previous model. This resulted in a much more accurate model.

Based on the BMD-2 hull I was then able to come back and remake a BMD-1 turret with much higher accuracy.

There are many more versions planned, such as this MRLS:

A little feature showcase before I head off to examland :( :

Note the:
- Variable clearance allows hiding behind the concrete block (which for this purpose I will also include in the pack, just made it today)

- MODUL hooked me up with kick ass turned out anims (and death anims)

- Destruction comes with custom textures and animations :)

What you cant see i guess is that hamis hooked me up with some killer sounds. Also the gunner sight is done and soon to be added the sights for the bow gunners.
Ciao :)

And Voila....

Here's the result:

On the pic you can spot a few new things:

- Obviously the beginnings of the BMD 1P are apparent with the new Konkurs launcher. So far everything has been configged and animated so I just have to do the necessary model and texture adjustments and then its ready.

- The random numbering and marking system is working nicely.

- You can spot that you can now adjust the ground clearance of the vehicle :). This feature in real life is used for paradropping and hiding behind emplacements.

- Another feature which cannot be seen on the shot is that the vehicle raises its nose as it picks up speed.

- And of course the best for last :) : .....both bow machineguns are now operational thanks to RavenDK :).

Ciao ;)
